It is the policy of Mercer County Special Services School District to comply with the regulations for Affirmative Action and the Americans With Disabilities Act. The Board of Education guarantees to all persons equal access to all its educational and vocational programs, services, and employment practices regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, affectional or sexual orientation, marital status, familial status, liability for service in the Armed Forces of the United States, atypical hereditary cellular or blood trait of any individual, non applicable disability or because of genetic information or refusal to submit to or make available the results of a genetic test. The Board of Education expects all employees and students to treat each other with respect and prohibits harassment, intimidation and bullying. A grievance related to discrimination or sexual harassment must be filed in writing. The Affirmative Action or ADA Officers will receive all complaints and conduct a thorough investigation. All meetings shall be conducted so as to accord due process to all parties involved in the complaint. No person shall suffer reprisals because of participation in this grievance procedure.
