NOTE:

To ensure that your resume/application and additional information you send is on file, make sure that it is sent to the Office of Human Resources. Information may not be officially on file if it is sent to other locations in the school district.
4. How will I know that you received my resume/application?
You will receive a written acknowledgement within three weeks after we receive your resume.
5. It’s been a while since I sent in my resume. Do you still have it?
We maintain all resumes/applications for at least one full year. Therefore, if your resume/application was submitted within that time frame and you received an acknowledgment letter from us, you are currently in our files. There is no need to resubmit another resume/application until the one year period has passed. If your employment information has changed significantly during this time period, i.e. new job, skill/experience or address, you should send an updated resume/application.
6. When and how will you contact me about an interview?
Your resume/application is important to us. Due to the volume of resumes/applications received, we are unable to personally contact everyone who sends in a resume. When we have an opening in the district, all appropriate resumes/applications are sent to the administrator at the location that has a vacancy for their review. Upon review, the administrator determines who will be called in for an interview. For interviews, we only contact those individuals whose background and skills most closely match the position requirements.
7. What is the status of the resume/application I recently submitted?
Due to the volume of resumes/applications received, we are unable to give a status update to everyone who sends a resume/application, or inform them of whether they will be contacted for an interview. When we have an opening in the district, all appropriate resumes/applications are sent to the administrator at the location that has a vacancy for their review. Upon review, the administrator determines who will be called in for an interview. For interviews, we only contact those individuals whose background and skills most closely match the position requirements.
8. If I am called in for an interview, how will I be notified if I’ve got the job?
After you have interviewed for a position, if you are not offered the position, you will receive a letter from the district indicating that you have not been chosen for the position which you interviewed for. If a job offer is to be made, you will be verbally notified by the hiring administrator or the Office of Human Resources. Your resume/application will be kept on file in the district for at least one year in case any other positions for which you qualify become available.
9. How often do you add job openings to the Web site?
New jobs are added as soon as positions become available. We encourage you to visit our site as often as possible.
10. How do I get information about certification?
If you do not hold certification in New Jersey, please contact the Office of Licensing at 609-292-2070 for information and an application.
11. Who do I call regarding test requirements for certification?
For information regarding NJ text requirements for certification, contact the PRAXIS Series at 800-772-9476.
