IMPORTANT PARENT INFORMATION......PLEASE READ |
SCHOOL CLOSINGS: This month school will be closed on Thursday & Friday, November 6 & 7 for the NJEA Teachers Convention and on Thursday & Friday, November 27 & 28 for Thanksgiving. Enjoy the long weekends and have a safe, happy and healthy Thanksgiving. PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (PAC) MEETING: The PAC meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 11 at 10 AM in the school library. If you can attend, please join us! EARLY DISMISSAL: There will be an early dismissal for students on Wednesday, November 26. Students will be dismissed at 12:45. Please have someone home to receive your child from the bus. Some after school programs may not be taking our students early, so check with your child’s after school program for that day. If they will not be accepting our students early, the student will be transported home on the bus. If you transport your child in the morning, and the after school program is not available, you will be responsible to pick up your child at 12:45 on Wednesday, Nov. 26. THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION: We will be celebrating Thanksgiving at school on Tuesday, November 25. We will be participating in our annual student/staff dinner prepared by the school cafeteria. You do not need to send lunch in that day for your child, as we will cover the lunch and the cost of lunch for all students who have to pay full or reduced price. After our dinner, all parents will be invited to share dessert in the classroom with your child and teacher/staff. Ask the teacher how you can help with dessert. You will receive information regarding time, etc. from your child’s teacher. STUDENT ILLNESS/ABSENCE: The school nurses call each parent when children are absent unless you call in and notify us that your child will be absent. The phone number for the student absence line, (609-570-1149) and the nurses lines, (609-570-1125 or 1126) are listed on the front of this calendar. All phone lines are available 24 hours a day. Please call your child out if s/he will be absent for illness, appointments or family business. It will be greatly appreciated! It will also save time for our nurses and you will not receive a phone call when your child is absent. DROPPING OFF/PICKING UP YOUR CHILD: As I mentioned at Back To School Night, we are increasing our security within the school program. Cameras have been mounted around the school and a new buzzer system installed, (it is not operational yet). When dropping off your child bring your child to the office. All students that are late must sign in so that the attendance and lunch count can be adjusted. DO NOT GO DIRECTLY TO THE CLASSROOM! COME TO THE OFFICE TO COMPLETE THE SIGN IN PROCESS. When you are picking up your child, please come to the office to sign out your child. If your child normally rides the bus home, please contact the school by 1 PM so that we can notify the teacher and hold your child so that s/he will not be put on the school bus. DO NOT GO DIRECTLY TO THE CLASSROOM, COME TO THE OFFICE TO COMPLETE THE SIGN OUT PROCESS. We will notify the classroom or nurse to bring your child to the office. Please respect and follow the procedures listed above. VISITIING: When you are here for an IEP, program, to see the teacher, for a meeting, or whatever, please come directly to the office and obtain a visitor’s badge. You must wear the badge and all people in your party must wear a badge also. You will need to stop in the main office to obtain a badge. We will then get you to the correct place. Again, this is part of our school security program, please respect and follow the procedure when visiting the building. Have a GREAT month! |
Just so you know, our school mascot is the Mustang and our school colors are blue and gold. |
